Last night I went to the Festival of Trees with my mom and dad. I had never been to bidding night before, and it was so much fun. My mom does a tree every year and we'd spent Monday decorating it, so last night it was really fun to just wander around and look at things. My dad bid on a couple of awesome gingerbread houses and got both of them, so I am now the proud owner of a very cute gingerbread house with a roof made of Snickers bars. I wonder if I could get that life-sized...YUM!

THANKSGIVING!
Thanksgiving was great. I started out the day with a 5k in Draper...the Human Race. I was excited to find this race because the proceeds go to the Utah Food Bank and LDS Humanitarian Services. I thought that running in a race would be a lot easier for me than going down and serving Thanskgiving dinner at the homeless shelter. I ran the 3.1 miles in 24:22 and I am very excited about that since I couldn't feel my legs for the first mile....it was COLD out there! Also, it was very fun to have my mom and dad at the finish line...it's always nice to have people cheering you on!Then...home to get ready for the feast! Chad came over to fry a turkey. Mom roasted a turkey. And we had ham. I think we prepared enough food for 50 people instead of 8, but you have to have the leftovers!
I am very thankful for my family, for my health, and for the many good things that Heavenly Father has given me :)

Missy Tagged Me...Again...

I am supposed to come up with 6 little known facts/habits about myself.
1-I have a green belt in Taekwon-do and can kick through boards...
2-I am comfortable in a bathing suit (as illustrated in the photo above). Weird...I know...it's not that I think I have a great body...I've just somehow gotten past the point of caring. It doesn't seem to carry over to other clothes, though. Huh...
3-I have 7 piercings...in my ears. I just wear one set of earrings though...and I want a tattoo.
4-I still bite my nails. It's gross. I can't seem to stop...so I try to keep them trimmed really short so I'm not tempted.
5-I've never broken a bone or been hospitalized. Diet Coke is all the medicine I need.
6-I'm a blood donor for babies. Because I have special blood that lacks a certain antibody that will make babies sick or die if they get blood with it, they call me up when a baby has my blood type up at the U or Primary Children's that needs blood. I'd like to say I am a selfless person, but I'm really in it for the cookies.

Halloween!
I LOVE Halloween. It's my favorite holiday. I dressed up as the Corpse Bride this year (pictures soon), but my favorite was when my brother brought his pug Otis Trick-or-Treating to my house. I didn't have any treats for him, so Otis tricked me by throwing up on the floor. Funny dog...my cat refuses to participate and hides in the basement all night.
