Goldilocks!

I love doing the Goldilocks ride. Dixie and I have participated from the first year and we always enjoy the camaraderie of riding with a lot of women, the darling t-shirts and necklaces, and turkey sandwiches for lunch! This year we had an awesome group of 8 girls and we had so much fun riding together! Everyone was great... and we all learned to be better flat-fixers as our group had 5 flats on the day (2 of them were mine)! Even with the flats, we had a great day of riding!

Day 36

My final day of service. I've had a lot of fun focusing on serving others this past month. I had a fortune in a cookie and it said "Enhance your karma...be kind to everyone you encounter." And if someone's cup of karma could overflow, mine certainly is. I have felt so blessed as I have done these small acts of kindness, and had kindness done for me in return. It amazes me that as I was looking for ways to help others, others were also looking to help me. Nothing I did was big, or hard, but from experience, I know it is the small things that can really mean everything to someone.

And, happy birthday to us! I have been so blessed in life to always have a best friend by my side from the very beginning.

Day 35

I went to the McDonald's drive-thru for a delicious diet coke, and paid for the car behind me.

Day 34

I went to the Dollar Store and randomly dispersed a few dollar bills through the kids' toys and books sections. I'm pretty sure I would have been thrilled to find this when I was a kid...

Day 33

I picked up a couple of hitchhikers at the airport :) Chad and Jordie just got back from Mexico. I admit this was a selfish act of service... I'm hoping there's a souvenir for me in one of those bags...

Day 32

 

I stopped by to visit a dear friend of mine who had surgery last week. I also brought her this adorable mini box of chocolates from See's. I just love the cute packaging!

Day 31

I work in the Draper Temple laundry on Tuesday nights, so I took cookies into the other temple workers.
